TriMedx Recognized for 2005 Mira Award

TriMedx, a leading healthcare equipment services company, was a finalist in the 2005 TechPoint Mira Awards -- Health and Life Sciences division. TechPoint is Indiana's leading non-profit technology advocacy group and the largest in the state to honor accomplished businesses and educators for their performance and inventive contributions to technology. Nearly 50 companies were nominated for the prestigious award, and more than 700 technology and industry representatives attended the black tie event, which was held at the Indiana Roof Ballroom on May 13, 2005.

TriMedx, once owned by St. Vincent Indianapolis Hospital, offers equipment services to healthcare facilities across the United States. Its unique model affords partnerships with multiple manufacturers, eliminating equipment purchasing bias while increasing technical training opportunities on manufacturer devices. In a market estimated at $25 billion by the end of this year, TriMedx is the fourth largest competitor in terms of revenue.

The company maintains its own information technology team to support its service division and central office. In 2003, TriMedx developed a proprietary software package called RSQTM, a robust equipment and service data management system that includes interfaces for work order documentation, procurement, service history, resource status, and user-defined queries.

In addition to Health and Life Sciences, other TechPoint Mira Award categories include Professional Service Provider, Information Technology, Gazelle, Advanced Manufacturing, Distribution/Logistics, and Educational Contributions. The technology-related awardees were recognized for fueling the state's economy, bringing global recognition to Indiana, and improving the quality of life for Hoosiers.
