TriMedx Signs Agreement with Saint Thomas Health Services

TriMedx announced that it has signed a contract with Saint Thomas Health Services to assume management of the health system's medical equipment services. The multi-year contract covers equipment services for four hospitals including Saint Thomas Hospital, Baptist Hospital, Middle Tennessee Medical Center, and Hickman Community Hospital.

"Several large health systems like Saint Thomas Health Services have realized the benefits of our program. We offer an insourcing model, which allows the technicians to remain employees of their local institution. We incorporate quality standards and practices and provide staff exceptional expertise and support - everything you would expect, and more, from a national organization," stated TriMedx President and CEO Greg Ranger.

As a multi-hospital customer, Saint Thomas Health Services' need for standardization and a central support system are critical.

"Our healthcare equipment services departments were well-run prior to TriMedx. This is a quality improvement measure. We believe TriMedx will elevate our program to a level of operational excellence by integrating innovative service practices and collaborating with internal customers as well as our equipment manufacturers," said Bill Cline, Vice President, Logistics Service and Support, Saint Thomas Health Services.

Saint Thomas Health Services is one of over 100 healthcare systems or facilities to partner with TriMedx in the past two years. The company's growth is the result of a concentrated effort to encourage the industry to set higher equipment service standards and become more assertive in driving out excessive service costs.
